Fellowship and Unity in Zimbabwe

From the Superintendent's DESK

Dwight and Susan Baltzell are now in Zimbabwe. They arrived on Saturday to a welcome of about thirty saints and many balloons.

They shared Sunday services with the saints in Harare, our Southern Africa headquarters church, starting the day with Sunday school. This was followed by a time of prayer and also a short exhortation given by Oniyas Gumbo, the District Superintendent of Southern Africa. He spoke on how far the Lord had brought the work in Zimbabwe, and on the wonderful unity that the workers enjoy. Brother Dwight said this left everyone looking forward to the morning service with great anticipation, and it proved to be very special.

Between the morning and mid-afternoon meetings, the kitchen was open for lunch to accommodate many who had traveled long distances to attend the day’s services. Among these was Fransisco Chatisso, the District Overseer of Mozambique, who had come from the Zambia camp meeting. Brother Dwight had an opportunity to speak with him about the Mozambique headquarters church, which is currently under construction. He learned that good progress has been made; the walls are partially finished, and the roof will go on next.

The Baltzells plan to continue with the Zimbabwe saints until Friday when they are scheduled to travel to South Africa. We pray the Lord will bless the remaining services and this time of fellowship.
