Victories at Dominican Republic Camp Meeting

From the Superintendent's DESK

The Dominican Republic camp meeting continued on Tuesday evening. Once again, Brother Alberto Smith opened the service by welcoming everyone. Then the congregation was led in singing many beautiful hymns.

The music included several numbers by a choir of thirty-plus voices. One special selection was “Victory Is Ours.” This theme was brought out in the victorious testimonies that followed. One man told how he had received salvation at the La Romana headquarters church forty-five years earlier.

For the last special before the sermon, the choir sang “How Great Thou Art.” Edwin Gilfillary, pastor of one of our San Pedro de Macoris churches, brought the message. A wonderful prayer meeting followed, and at least one young man gained the victory by praying through to salvation.

We have had a blessed time in the Dominican Republic. Every service has been filled to capacity. Please continue to pray for the saints here; they appreciate all the prayers so much.
