The
Great White Throne Judgment
(For a more comprehensive
explanation of end time events, read A
Glimpse Into the Future.)
At the Great White Throne Judgment, which occurs
at the end of Christ's Millennial Reign, God will assemble
the wicked living and the wicked dead (the righteous dead
came forth at the First Resurrection) to stand before Him.
Though these may have been dead for thousands of years and
their physical bodies long since returned to dust and ashes,
the Almighty God will gather the fragments once again into
a body. Then that person will stand on his feet before the
Judge who sits upon the Great White Throne. God will pronounce
final judgment on the living and the dead according to their
works done during their life on earth. Since none of their
names are found in the Book of Life, they will be cast into
the lake of fire.
Daniel
12:2
— And many
of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some
to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Acts
10:42 — And he commanded us to preach
unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained
of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Revelation
20:11-15 —
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from
whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was
found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great,
stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book
was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged
out of those things which were written in the books, according
to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in
it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in
them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is
the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the
book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
