Since summer planning has already begun for many, it is appropriate to provide our tentative schedule as it relates to Portland camp meeting. After conferring with many United States Apostolic Faith pastors, our current plan is to schedule “tabernacle services” in lieu of our traditional camp meeting. The services would begin Friday, June 25, and continue through Sunday, July 11. The details of the schedule will be determined in time, based upon the local public health status in June and July.

We do not plan to open the Fellowship Lodge for meals, nor can we open the cabins for housing. Attendance at each meeting will be limited to allow room for distancing, as we have done for the past many months. Therefore, those from out of town who choose to come must arrange their own housing accommodations and meals, and should expect to not attend every meeting during their stay.

Additionally, due to ongoing health concerns, we are not planning for any West Coast summer youth camps this year. Until schoolchildren can sit shoulder to shoulder in classrooms, we cannot accept the health risks of them doing so in a church setting.

In the meantime, we are expecting to conduct two weekends of winter tabernacle services from February 26 to March 7, in lieu of our annual March special meetings. These would be preceded by a tabernacle prayer meeting on Tuesday, February 23, including a few minutes of congregational singing, a Scripture reading, prayer requests, and then a season of prayer. A second prayer meeting would be held a week later on March 2, and evangelistic services on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings of both weekends. We regret that we cannot extend an invitation to those who live outside the Pacific Northwest. We will announce further details about the winter tabernacle services in the coming weeks.
