Special meetings were held at the Apostolic Faith Church in the Bronx, New York, from September 29 through October 6. The theme for the week was "The Power of the Cross of Calvary,” and visitors came from various locations in the United States as well as the Dominican Republic.

The schedule for the week included a time of prayer and consecration in the mornings, Bible studies in the afternoons, and evangelistic services in the evenings. On Friday evening, the Lord’s Supper was observed and was greatly blessed. At a water baptism service, ten new believers were baptized. Then on Saturday evening, a youth concert was held. The closing service on Sunday included a powerful message by Hector Guilamo, the pastor of the La Romana church in the Dominican Republic.

Testimonies from the week of special meetings included individuals receiving salvation, physical healing, and spiritual renewal. The saints in the Bronx, as well as visitors, were encouraged by the meetings and went home rejoicing.
