God had given her a promise the day before, and she didn’t know what it meant, but after her husband passed away, she remembered God’s promise and had so much peace. Savannah Charles said her Grandma Roberta’s testimony reminded her of a conversation she had with a coworker after her grandfather passed away, where her coworker reminded her that her faith in God gives her hope that she will see her loved ones again in Heaven.
First Special: The choir sang “He’s a Wonderful Savior to Me.”
Last Special: Susie Asaya sang “We Will Overcome” with “Stand Up for Jesus.”
Sermon: Dwight Baltzell read from Luke 8:4-8, and then used this parable to emphasize the importance of growing as Christians. He pointed out that eventually the time of harvest will come, and it is important to be ready for that time.
